Night Stand in a hotel room
The video "One Girl" was made for the exhibition "One
Night Stand" in the hotel Marsoel in Chur. I had been invited
with four other artists for one night and one day into this hotel
with the expectation to react to the hotelrooms and ambience of
the building. A few days before the event I decided to take some
filmshots of the redlight district in Zurich and to show them on
a TV-monitor in one of the hotelrooms.
The video shows a young prostitute standing in the street at daylight.
Men are passing by, are talking to her, looking at her and so on.
The video is in slow motion and every single movement of the different
people becomes very important.
