slap in the face This videowork was a result of the experiences I made during my performancework "the offer". In the offer, i offered to the public the possibility to slap me in the face or to be slapped, or to kiss or to be kissed by me (see the offer). This performance caused a lot of reactions and very intense feelings in the public and for the participants. I tried to freeze one the situations with this video. I look with a smile to the camera. Then I get one slap after the other. I try to keep smiling, but it's becoming harder with every more slap. I'm getting afraid of the hit and close my eyes, the smile becomes weaker and weaker. |

| Waiting
for the next hit The camera is placed so that the spectator doesn't see the person who is hitting me. Therefor the public could feel itself in the role of the hitting person as I always look at them and get one slap after the other. |
